Melissa is a director for the Aiden Matthew Ripple Effect Foundation. She has always been an advocate for mental health. Although her interests and activism have been driven by the passing of Aiden Alexander. Through the foundation she aims to bring awareness to a community that is lacking a strong mental health education. She hopes, with the backing of the teachers and administrators, we can educate more effectively on mental health and create an open and safe area for students struggling with their mental health to talk about and break stigmas surrounding suicide and mental health. As a daycare provider, Melissa deals with young children on a daily basis and wishes nothing more for children to grow up in a safe environment that is filled with acceptance and love no matter what their struggles may be.
